NPFL 19: Nkiyu hails exciting Nasarawa United win

Nasarawa United head coach Bala Nkiyu expects Adeshina Thomas to become "very important for the "Solid Miners" after the striker scored and provided two assists in their 4-1 win over Delta Force on Wednesday evening at the Lafia City Stadium.

Sunusi Ibrahim opened scoring for the home team before Adeshina set up Anas Yusuf and Mohammed Shamasu Sunusi in the 35th and 90th minute respectively.

Adeshina who scored the third goal of the encounter in the 42nd minute was hailed by Bala Nkiyu for doing a fantastic job to give the team the needed victory

"Today I am satisfied with the way we played and also Adeshina for doing so well today" Nkiyu told Tribalaports. Net. "I am really looking forward to a greater achievement from the team as a whole. Adeshina did so well today and he is a player who gives his all in the pitch and always wants to win games.

"Potentially, he is a great player because he has quality, very important qualities from the physical point of view, but the team played as one and that's the most important thing. We have won two consecutive games and we hope to continue winning.

The victory takes the Solid Miners to the 5th position in Group B, their best position since the league resumed.
