Plateau United returns home to the New Jos Stadium after the expiration of their banishment.

Plateau United were banished to play three home games at a neutral ground after crowd violence marred their MD 1 fixture against FC Ifeanyi Uba in a game that ended in a stalemate.

Striker Jesse Akila disclosed to our correspondence that he can't wait to play again in front of their fans as they host Kada City of Kaduna in one of MD 10 fixtures of the NPFL.

We are all pleased to be back to our home ground in Jos knowing fully well that we will be playing in front of our friends, fans and family.

Hopefully we will get the deserve victory for the fans that have been starved of league football since we were banished on Match Day 1.

The Nigerian junior international revealed the team's objectives plus his personal target come the end of the NPFL season.

'We are Plateau United and not just any team, we remain the legitimate league defending Champions, our aim is to retain our title by first claiming a playoff slot then go on to win the league and also return to the continent".

Akila who has scored two goals in his last two games for the Lalong boys believes he has what it takes to hit double digits in the current season.

"Though I didn't start with the team this season due to my engagement with the national u20 team but ever since I came back I have managed to fit into the team as I already have two goals from my last two games".

"Personally I will like to lead Plateau United to the league shield while my aim is to hit double digits, he concluded".

Plateau United are currently in Group B, placed 8th with 11 points from 9 games and will look to move up the table with a victory when they host Kada City in MD 10 of the NPFL.
