When you hear the name Nasarawa United the likes of Emmanuel Makama and Douglas Achiv easily comes to mind but without taking much away from the duo young and energetic players are springing.

Last season saw the emergence of Nwani Ikechukwu and Isah Ndala under the the watchful eyes of Coach Kabir Dogo while this season has seen the steady rise of 17 year old Ibrahim Sunusi who was then an understudy to Thomas Zenke but after Zenke left for Enyimba in the summer the young winger has made the right wing his own with some dazzling performances in the 9 MD old NPFL season.

The only ill in his performance is his inability to kill off games with goals.

Isah Ndala who is a close friend of the player revealed that Sunusi Ibrahim is one of the finest winger in the league and if he can work on his finishing then he will be unplayable and the sky sill be his starting point.

Sunusi Ibrahim's profligacy cost Nasarawa United at home to Heartland and away to FC Ifeanyi Uba in Nnewi.

Something the player himself revealed that he is working seriously correct.

"My ball playing ability is a gift from God which I'm grateful for".

He continued, my inability to finish clear-cut chances is now a thing of the past as with the aid of the Coach I have been seriously working very hard on my finishing and in our last four games I have managed to score two goals with three assists, a stat I believe I can improve on".

On the comparison between Coach Kabir Dogo and Coach Bala Nkiyu, the 17 year old says Dogo is a father who gave him his NPFL berth while his development continues under Coach Bala Nkiyu.

"Coach Kabir Dogo is a father to me because he took me from the streets and handed me my NPFL debut, a firm believer in raw talents who I will always be grateful to while my development continues under Coach Bala Nkiyu, he concluded".

Nasarawa United will seek to move up the ladder with a win as they host Yobe Desert Stars in MD 10 of the NPFL at the lafia city stadium.
