NPFL: MY TEAM IS NOT CENTERED ON ANY INDIVIDUAL - MUSA IBRAHIM

Reinstated Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Musa Ibrahim has spoken to the media at the Lafia City Stadium that his side does not rely on any anyone and his team is not built on any individual as they prepare for life after Junior Lokosa, Nyima Nwagua and Nazifi Yahaya.

Junior Lokosa and Nwagua Nyima were both at their best in the 2017-2018 Nigeria Professional Football League season where they both tore opposition defence to shreds but fell short at the final huddle when they lost the Aiteo Cup final to Enugu Rangers despite going ahead by three goals.

Coach Musa Ibrahim has however dispel the rumors going round that his side will struggle based on the loss of both Lokosa and Nwagua.

"We will be without five of our first team players in the next couple of weeks as Junior Lokosa and Nyima Nwagua are currently not in the country with the trio of Alhassan Ibrahim, Jamil Mohammed Jamal and Yahaha Nazifi will represent the Nation at the Africa Youth Championships in Niger, we have quality players that will definitely get the job done for us because Kano Pillars is not built around any individual as the game of football is a team and not an individual sports, Jugunu as he is fondly called by is admirers concluded".

During the off season Kano Pillars brought in Suraj Ayeleso (Kano Pillars), Bature Yaro (Plateau United), Sunday Chinedu Chukwu (Kwara United), Ayaya (Supreme Court), Shammah Tanze (Wikki Tourists) and HIFL kid sensation Odenigbo Ebuka David to beef up the squad as the seek to go a step further by winning the 2019 Aitoe Cup and possibly win the NPFL come the end of season.
