NWFL SUPER 4: Sunshine Queens, Rivers Angels vie for third place in losers final

Rivers Angels Head Coach Edwin Okon still feels the third place game against Sunshine Queens on Sunday is an important one for his side to win.

The 'Pride of Rivers' disappointedly lost 5-4 via penalties to bitter rivals Nasarawa Amazons and Okon feels his side should have doubled up their goal chances before letting their opponent score a goal.

" Yes we lost against Nasarawa Amazons, a game i think we lost too many goalscoring chances and now we find ourselves playing the loser's final against Sunshine Queens.

" We have to forget about what has happened and think about the game on sunday. It’s still something massively to play for, and we will give our best shot.

“We still have a very important job come on Sunday to finish third and not fourth. It should be a difficult game because Sunshine Queens will also want to win. If we want to win, then we need to forget about the Nasarawa game." He concluded.
