EPL: Manchester United continue upward surge with rout over Fulham (2)

Manchester United are looking a totally new team since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making light work of Fulham to continue their charge up the table and seal a place in the top four ahead Chelsea's Sunday game with Manchester City.

Fulham came out of the blocks flying, with Schurrle particularly guilty for a clear miss in the opening periods. Fulham will go on to rue that miss as Manchester United began the rout through Paul Pogba who latched on to a through pass and fired and unstoppable left foot drive past the Fulham goalie.

One was soon two when Anthony Martial brought a bit of quality to the table, starting a run from deep midfield past two players and firing into the bottom right hand corner to double Manchester United's lead and put the result beyong Fulham.

The gloss on the performance was added by the rejuvenated central midfielder Pogba who converted a spot kick after Juan Mata was upended in the box for a penalty to the visitors.

This win moves Manchester United up to fourth, one point ahead of Chelsea ahead their Sunday six pointer with Manchester City who will be looking to reclaim top spot from Liverpool who ran out 3-0 winners at Bournemouth.
