Ligue En: Osimhen brace fires Lille to victory in EPIC debut

NIGERIAN striker and new Lille recruit introduced himself today to the French league with a brace on his debut, firing in two magnificent goals in either half to power his club over  Nantes.

Victor Osimhen raised the roof of the Stade Pierre Mauroy in the 19th minute, receiving a hopeful ball out of defense by Jose Fonte on his chest and accelerating towards goal before slotting past Lafont in the Nantes goal.

Nantes pulled a goal back through an own goal by Celik, creating the set for an Osimhen grand stand finish.

With 10 minutes on the clock, a missed clearance by the defense on a Celik cross fell to Osimhen who powered in a shot to once again separate both sides and secure all three points for Lille.

Osimhen was brought in to replace Pepe who was sold to Arsenal and fans of Lille will be hoping these goals will open the flood gates for their new striker to lead a charge up the table in France.
